The editors of Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy [IPP] are adheres to the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics [COPE]. As per these guidelines, failure to adhere to the above conditions will result in the editor-in-chief and publisher take an appropriate correction, a statement of retraction, or enacting a withdrawal of the article. In extreme cases, offending authors may be banned from submitting to the journal in the future, or reported to their institution’s ethics committee.
The editors of Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy [IPP] are responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. In evaluating the submitted works, the editors should limit themselves only to the intellectual content. The editors should not be partial by matters such as race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. The editors can choose to ignore any material that breaks legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editors must ensure the confidentiality of the submitted works until they are published. The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a logical and valued network of knowledge. It is a direct indication of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and exemplify the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society.

Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy [IPP] follows a double-blind peer-review process, wherein the reviewers and authors are unaware of each other’s identity.
Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy [IPP] considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy [IPP], that they have not been published already, nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere.
The journal expects that authors would authorize one of them to correspond with the Journal for all matters related to the manuscript. All manuscripts received are duly acknowledged by the journal.
On submission, editor-in-chief will review all submitted manuscripts initially for suitability for formal review. Manuscripts with insufficient originality, serious scientific or technical flaws, or lack of a significant message, if not prepared as per journals instructions are rejected before proceeding for formal peer-review. Manuscripts that are unlikely to be of interest to the Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy [IPP] readers are also liable to be rejected at this stage itself.
Manuscripts that are found suitable for publication in Innovations in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacotherapy [IPP] are sent to three or more independent expert reviewers.
Every manuscript is finally reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, who based on the comments from the reviewers takes a final decision on the manuscript. The comments and suggestions (acceptance/ rejection/ amendments in manuscript) received from reviewers are conveyed to the corresponding author. If required, the author is requested to provide a point by point response to reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version of the manuscript. This process is repeated till reviewers and editors are satisfied with the manuscript.
Manuscripts accepted for publication are copy edited for grammar, punctuation, print style, and format. Page proofs are sent to the corresponding author. The corresponding author is expected to return the corrected proofs within two days.
